Paul Palmer, a 24-handicapper, triumphed in KP Golf Club’s May medal.
He posted a superb nett 62, highlighted by seven successive birdies on the inward nine, to win by three clear shots.
The early leader was Chris Stark, who, playing off 13, suffered a nine on the par-five fifth, but rallied with no fewer than three eagles for a nett 65.
That score was matched by both Deryck Dobson and James Houseman, also both playing off 24. The former pipped Stark to second place on count-back.
