THERE will be a beer festival in Stillingfleet on Saturday, May 25, from noon until the barrels run dry.

A range of 12 to 15 ales will be available as well as a cider and a perry, plus soft drinks, wine, pork pies and sandwiches.

The event is at the village institute and proceeds will help to improve the building, particularly paying for work to protect against damp.

There will be live music during the day and a doodling competition for budding artists.

Entry is £5, including this year’s souvenir glass (while stocks last), programme and a drink voucher.
