A VACANCY for a councillor has arisen at Langtoft Parish Council.
A by-election to fill the vacancy will be held if ten electors of the parish write to the chief executive of East Riding of Yorkshire Council at County Hall, Beverley, East Yorkshire, HU17 9BA, by Thursday, February 28, to claim an election.
If there is no such request, the parish council will be able to fill vacancies by co-option, which means council members will elect a new member from those who have expressed an interest in joining the council.
