SELBY Fasprint Table Tennis League division one leaders Eggborough Kestrels completed an emphatic double over Selby Working Men's Club.
They won 8-2 in their first meeting with Phil Hall and Mal Machin being undefeated and only a good effort by Bernard Wales and Geoff Harrop prevented the whitewash.
The second match resulted in a 9-1 win for Kestrels with Harrop winning the final singles in five games in a titanic battle against the much-improved John Peters. Machin and Hall were once again undefeated for Kestrels.
Kestrels are hot favourites for the title but Eggborough Ospreys, with games in hand, could prove a threat.
In division two, Eggborough Harriers lost 8-2 at home to Thorpe Cobras. Kevin Caine played well for the home team, again winning one set, and was joined for the first win this year by captain Colin White. Steve Taylor and Dave Little won all their sets for Cobras.
