YORK Next Generation, handicapped by the absence of two of their leading players Nathan Hill and Nick Robinson, went down 4-1 (8-18) at home to local rivals IT Sports Wigginton II in a Yorkshire Squash League first division match.

Former York champion Mark Inglis made his first appearance of the season following injury and gained Next Generation's only victory.

IT Sports Wigginton's first team kept up their fantastic early season form by defeating Huddersfield 4-1 in the Yorkshire Premier League.

Wigginton's only casualty was Manchester's Pete Bilson who lost to Dave Barnett 3-1.

At number two for Wiggy was Derbyshire player Joel Hines who beat John Tate 3-0. England junior Neil Cordell was in impressive form beating another England junior Eddy Charlton, also by three games to love.

Wigginton captain Mat Lowery kept up his 100 per cent record by beating Huddersfield club professional David Hiness by the same margin.

Yorkshire over-35s player Ian Tooms came from 2-1 down to beat Huddersfield's Jimmy Moorhouse 3-2.

This victory leaves the villagers in second place, two points behind Leeds side Chapel Allerton. They take on Hull and East Riding on November 22 at Wigginton.
