SUN Inn increased their lead at the top of the York Phoenix Monday Darts League division one with an emphatic 8-1 win against Rose & Crown.

The victory gives the champions a seven-point lead after four matches following Chris Thompson's brace of 20 darters and another 20 darts from Tony Cooper.

Marcia Gray went down 6-3 at home to Ebor in a match that saw five maximums. Mark Hartley (18 and 20) hit two, and Tony Raymond added a third for the visitors. Mike Harris and Shaun Day hit 180s for the home side.

Mitre won 6-3 against Cygnet B' with Kev O'Hara gaming in 18 and 20 while Paul Mizon junior was out in 18 for Cygnet.

Acomb A' took the lot against Falcon, while Clifton were defeated by Shepherd SC. John Holmes hit a 180 and Mick Willsden (180) did well for Shepherds.

A superb 180 for 15 darts from Pete Leake (Cygnet A') was surpassed by a tremendous 14 darts from Edward VII's Rich Pike. Paul Cooper also hit a maximum while Dave Mason closed on 138.

Mount maintained the edge at the top of division two, level with Slipper as both teams were 7-2 winners. Crescent kept in touch with a 7-2 win against Wenlock Arms.

Pete Leake (100, 100, 139) gamed in 15 darts in the John Smith's Mixed Darts League for Cueball.

His maximum, paired with Pat Wright, took match points against Cygnet B'.

Windmill's Nick Harteveld also gamed in 15, while Leeman B' had 19 darts from Dean Smallwood. His sister, Teri, enjoyed a 126 finish (treble 19, treble 19, double 6) to take match points with Arthur Scott against Cygnet C' whose Cindy Benton gamed on bull.

Cygnet A' had a maximum from Kev Walton while Huntington's Kev O'Hara (20) and Dave O'Hara (21) starred in the whitewash against Red Lion.

Beeswing had Jim Hawksby game in 21 against Slipper whose Anita Adams was the only point scorer.
