AFTER recent revelations about bail hostels and the "supervision" of dangerous criminals (I knew it was a knife going into my back, The Press, November 10), it is obvious that it is not just the Home Office that is "not fit for purpose".
It is a national scandal that our government allows a situation whereby its decent, law-abiding citizens are in real danger every day from convicted murderers, rapists, burglars, paedophiles, sex perverts and main line drug users.
These sorts of people can never be cured or made safe and the only solution to this massive problem is a lethal injection - cost-effective and guaranteed to ensure that the recipient cannot harm anyone again.
