A YORK woman is putting her charity challenge to the vote.
Donna Davies, 52, wants to raise £1,500 for Cancer Research UK by having her head shaved... or not.
Donna, of Herbert Street, chose the charity after a member of her family was diagnosed the disease.
Donna said: “I have set up a justgiving website and anyone can make a donation for a vote to lose or keep the hair. I would like to raise a minimum of £1,500. If I do, and the vote is to lose my hair, then so be it. But I will not have my head shaved for less than that.
“The voting system guarantees the charity will benefit regardless of the outcome.”
Donna will hold a fundraising event from 9pm on Saturday at the Edinburgh Arms, in Fishergate, York.
Entertainment will be provided by 70s band Glamrockz and anybody wishing to dress up in glam outfits will be most welcome.
Donna said: “It would be fantastic to see local people supporting their local pub with a brilliant band and for a heartfelt charity... and it’s free entry!”
