About 50 students from the University of York's entrepreneurs club hit the streets of the city to buy their outfits.
Top fashion designer Jeff Banks was due to pay a visit to their fashion show to judge the winner - who will receive gift vouchers worth rather more than £10 to spend in his fashion outlets.
