Christmas presents for children in York Hospital

SICK children who spent Christmas Day in hospital received a delivery of Christmas presents from catering staff at Aviva.
Kim Stirk, general manager of Restaurant Associates, which caters for Aviva’s three sites in York, said they start collecting presents donated by staff at Aviva every year in mid-November.
Employees donate wrapped presents and mark whether they’re for a boy or girl and what age group they are for. The presents were delivered on Christmas Eve to sick children at York Hospital.
Kim said the children were very excited to see the presents, which are always donated in abundance.
She said: “The Aviva staff really go to town on it and we delivered three massive boxes full of presents. They always come up trumps.”
