Flood rescue for woman and four children

A woman and four children had to be rescued from floodwater north of Thirsk.
She drove an Audi into a flooded part of Woundales Lane near Borrowby where it passes under the A19.
Firefighters from Northallerton and Thirsk donned dry suits and used wading poles as they pushed the Audi to safety.
The driver, two boys aged 14 and 15 and two girls aged 12 and eight were unharmed.
