A MAN who attacked his brother with a samurai sword following a drunken argument has appeared before magistrates in York charged with wounding with intent.
Christopher Lee Barker, 41, who appeared in the dock with a black eye, spoke only to confirm his age, name and address, before the court heard he had attacked his brother David Barker, 46, with the sword, leaving him with injuries to his head and arm.
The incident allegedly happened at 6.10am on Sunday at the home of Barker’s mother in New Lane, Huntington.
Barker, of New Lane, did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody to appear at York Crown Court at a later date.
