The Northern Musical Theatre Company is rehearsing for the Cliff Richard musical Summer Holiday.

The show offers mini skirts, big hair, tight jeans, Lambretta scooters and a big red London Bus, plus a fabulous mix of Cliff Richard classics, including Move It, Travelling Light, The Young Ones and Summer Holiday.

A spokesman for the theatre company said: “We have an extremely talented cast of singers and dancers with the addition of key mature comedy players, who could easily steal the show.

“The young lead roles of Don and Barbara are played by Joe Wawrzyniak and Danielle Irvine.

“All the cast come under the musical direction of Bev Jones, who focuses on perfect musicality from all his players, both on stage and in the pit.”

Tickets can be purchased from York Theatre Royal Box Office on 01904 623568 or online on www.yorktheatreroyal.co.uk. They cost from £10 to £14.
