YORK actor and busker Jonny Holbek and Leeds actress Robyn Grant, both familiar faces from many a youthful York musical of not too long ago, have teamed up to write Tom & Bunny Save The World for Robyn's company Fat Rascal Theatre.

A hit at last summer's Edinburgh Fringe, the show comes from the creators of the award-winning sell-out success Buzz: A New Musical and the one chance to see it in York comes next Wednesday night (April 25) at the Theatre Royal.

As 2018 falls to a zombie apocalypse, Tom and Bunny begin their perilous journey to Yorkshire in quest of sanctuary and a proper cup of tea in Holbek and Grant's gender-stereotype destroying, black and bloody comedy with a live folk soundtrack.

"Join Tom and Bunny as they discover what it is to be British in a crisis," says Robyn, who will play Bunny opposite Jamie Mawson's Tom, joined in the cast by Katie Wells as Kai, Allie Munro as Pearl, and York Stage Musicals alumnus Luke Dunford as Gareth.

Tickets for their 7.45pm performance cost £14.50 on 01904 623568 or at yorktheatreroyal.co.uk
