CANADIAN magician Darcy Oake, the illusionist star from this year's Britain's Got Talent contest, will play York Barbican on September 24 next year on his first British tour.
Darcy Oake: Edge Of Reality will offer the chance to see Oake's sleight -of -hand techniques and death-defying escapades close up on stage. Before then, he will return to ITV1 in his own Saturday night special, also entitled Darcy Oake: Edge Of Reality, on December 27 at 9.50pm.
Hosted by Christine Bleakley, this one-hour showcase takes place at the Blackpool Opera House, where the Canadian performance artist presents his logic-bending illusions in the grand tradition of stage magic, applied with his modern twist.
Oake first delved into his mystic craft at the age of eight and has since won multiple awards, such as the People’s Choice Gold Medal awarded by the Pacific Coast Association of Magicians.
Tickets for his York debut can be booked on 0844 854 2757, at yorkbarbican.co.uk or at the Barbican box office, 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday, and on event days.
