AN event commemorating the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps in January 1945 will take place this weekend.
The Riding Lights Theatre Company will be performing a rehearsed reading of The Minute Book.
The event will be hosted by the Quaker Meeting House in conjunction with City of York Council.
The reading is part of a series of York-based events telling the story of the York Refugee Committee, as well as some of the individuals they helped.
The play was originally devised by the Riding Lights Senior Youth Theatre Company and will be performed in the room in which the committee met.
It will be performed on Sunday at 6.45pm in the Friends Meeting House, Upper Friargate. The event is free but ticketed and tickets can be booked through Riding Lights Box Office on 01904 613000. Donations will be taken for Riding Lights Youth Theatre.
