Emma Bunton wants a Spice Girls reunion but has admitted – “we need a Posh”, as Victoria Beckham doesn’t want to be involved.
But Bunton, aka Baby Spice, is holding out hope that she can change her friend’s mind.
She told This Morning: “There’s nothing set in stone.
“I personally think we should do something, it would be lovely.”
But the 40-year-old added: “I think we need a Posh.”
The subject of a Spice Girls reunion cropped up between the pair recently when Bunton attended a 41st birthday bash thrown by singer turned fashion designer Beckham for husband David.
She said Posh “wishes us the best”, but wasn’t keen on the idea.
Bunton added: “When I was at David’s birthday, we had a chat about it. She (Victoria) said, ‘You’ve got to do something. I just don’t feel like…you know’.
“We’ve known that (she’s felt that way) for a while.
“Maybe she will change her mind. Sometimes she does do that. She might want to do it in time.”
There are rumours that Bunton, Mel B, and Geri Horner (Halliwell) – but not Mel C – want to launch a reunion for the 21st anniversary of their hit song Wannabe.
The trio recently put out a video hinting at the reunion gig, which is supposedly planned for July next year in London’s Hyde Park. They said: “We hope to tell you soon what you want, what you really, really want.”
