EIGHT years since Faris Badwan and his four bandmates released the ever-so-exciting and anarchic Sheena Is A Parasite in 2006, the band (formerly a gothic rock one) are releasing their fourth album, Luminous.

A whole other world away from debut album Strange House, their latest release is loaded with synths and poetic lines, paving the way for a more mainstream audience. So Now You Know is a high point – a mish-mash of 1980s, 1990s and modern indie, which wouldn’t sound out of place in a cool hipster bar. Tracks such First Day Of Spring and I See You also fit into the effortlessly cool-but-cliche indie genre.

The Horrors were always kings of the psychedelic goth rock scene, but have now officially and seamlessly switched over to rule indie territory, and done so with much more success.
