YORK five-piece We Could Be Astronauts will launch their debut self-titled CD at the Post Office Club, Marygate, York, tonight in a show starting at 7.30pm. Support will be from La Petite Mort and Van Der Neer.
Bassist Stuart Fletcher (who has worked with Chris Helme, Seahorses, Rick Witter & The Dukes) said: “This past year we’ve played T in The Park, Cambridge Rock Festival, London 02 and Sheffield 02 among many others. We’ve had a piece on Look North and have received a lot of local airplay and internet airplay.”
The album has been two years in the making. The band say: “We have been working our way out of the depths of musical obscurity and are finally starting to break through.
“This album will aid us in getting even further in our dream of mastery of the universe.”
