FOLK rock innovators Fairport Convention play in acoustic mode at The Duchess, York, tonight. Be sure to arrive early as they will be on stage at just after 8pm.
“Here’s a unique opportunity to catch Simon Nicol, Dave Pegg, Ric Saunders, Chris Leslie and Gerry Conway up close and personal, performing a selection of material old and new,” says Duchess manager Tim Hornsby.
“As well as favourites from their enormous back catalogue, the band will be playing songs and instrumentals from their most recent albums.”
Founder member Simon Nicol enthuses: “We’re really looking forward to visiting York again. We love the local audience and The Duchess is a great venue for live music.”
