BRISTOL brothers Darren and Gary Simmons celebrate five decades of the Bee Gees in their tribute show Jive Talkin’ with fellow singer Jarrod Loughlin, from Weston-Super-Mare.
The west country trio will take to the Grand Opera House stage this month in a nine-piece ensemble that features a live band with a string section.
Darren and Gary take on the guise of Barry and Robin Gibb respectively alongside Jarrod’s Maurice, and they call on 20 years of performing in the West End, on television in Stars In Their Eyes and with the Bee Gees themselves on Heart Fm.
In the course of two hours, Jive Talkin’ takes a chronological journey from the Sixties’ hits Massachusetts, Words and To Love Somebody, through the Seventies’ disco of Stayin’ Alive, Night Fever and Tragedy to latter-day peaks You Win Again and Alone. A narrative thread ties the show together as the performers discuss key moments in the Bee Gees’ story.
Tickets cost £15 on 0844 847 2322.
