AUSTRALIAN singer songwriter Emily Barker will star in The Band Room’s Spring Equinox show on Saturday.

The singer from Bridgetown, Western Australia, made her debut on the UK music scene at the 2002 Cambridge Folk Festival.

Since then, she has released an album, Despite The Snow, supported Jose Gonzelaz on his Australian tour, opened UK tour dates for The Waifs, Mary Gauthier, Billy Joe Shaver and Tony Joe White, performed at Glastonbury and seen her song Nostalgia used as title and end credits for BBC1 detective series Wallander.

Emily divides her time between Australia and the UK and will appear at The Band Room with her band, The Red Clay Halo.

The Spring Equinox show will also feature Natasha Johansson, from Barnsley.
