YORK club night Hijacked will hold its second birthday party at Thomas’s Bar, in Museum Street, next Friday, from 9pm till late.
In room one will be Jesus Slaves featuring MC Sirreal (of Freestylers and Pendulum) plus the resident DJs, while Tollo will host the launch of the club’s “open deck sessions” in room two under the title of Tollo’s Twisted Fantasy Four Record Friday.
“This is an opportunity for anyone to bring four records and have a little fun playing,” says club organiser Dave Budgen. “We’re hoping to create a kind-of-fun, anything-goes, Back To Mine atmosphere with no set music policy.
“I feel it would give a chance for any upcoming DJs to showcase their talent or just for students to turn up with a bunch of tunes they love and play them really loud without upsetting the neighbours.”
Admission will be £4 on the door.
