YORKSHIRE'S first 24-hour luxury musical picnic will be held this summer at Newburgh Priory, Coxwold, from noon on August 30 to noon the following day.

The Magic Loungeabout aims to "take the hassle out of festivals by offering an intimate and more refined musical day out for family and friends alike". The focus will fall on folktronica by day in an afternoon line-up of Morcheeba, Nouvelle Vague, Pacific, The Egg and the festival's latest addition, Lykke Li, from Stockholm, whose debut album, Youth Novels, will be released on LL Recordings on Monday.

By night, the spotlight switches to the electronica of Ladytron and festival headliner Gary Numan, followed by an after-show party with DJ sets and cocktails under the stars in the priory's roofless west wing until 3am.

Only 4,500 tickets are available. Bookings can be made online through etickets, whose aim is to "reduce the booking charges that have become standard with festival booking lines".

Admission is £78 and children under nine go free. To book, visit www.themagicloungeabout.net
