TRIBUTE act T.Rextasy transport Friday’s audience at the Grand Opera House, York, back to the glam rock Seventies when Marc Bolan was the flamboyant and charismatic leader of T Rex.
His rock-a-boogie songs brought Bolan such hits as Hot Love, Telegram Sam, Jeepster, Twentieth Century Boy, Get It On, Metal Guru, I Love To Boogie, Ride A White Swan, Debora, Children Of The Revolution and Solid Gold Easy Action.
T.Rextasy are the only tribute band endorsed and approved by Bolan’s family, estate, original former members of T.Rex, and Bolan’s catalogue management and have have been performing all over the world for more than 25 years, a career that ironically out-lives the late Bolan’s T.Rex and solo years.
Presented by Sweeney Entertainments, the band features Danielz, vocals and lead guitar, Neil Cross, rhythm guitars, Rob Butterfield, bass, and John Skelton, drums.
Tickets for Friday's 7.30pm concert are on sale on 0844 871 3024 or at atgtickets.com/york
