GILBERT O'Sullivan will play his rearranged Grand Opera House concert in York on September 20 as part of his 50th anniversary celebrations of his debut single, Disappear.

The 70-year-old Irish singer, songwriter and pianist had to postpone his April 4 show through illness; tickets remain valid from that date and further tickets are available at £33.65 at atgtickets.com/york or on 0844 871 3024.

The chart-topping O'Sullivan will explore every facet of his history in his anniversary show, from biggest hits Alone Again Naturally, Nothing Rhymed, Clair, Matrimony and Get Down to songs from his 2015 album, Latin Ala G, such as the singles No Way and I Guess I’ll Always Love You.

Last year, he performed a concert for BBC Radio 2 with the 60-piece BBC Concert Orchestra and his Essential Collection album reached number 11 in the charts. This year, he is to play at the BBC Proms in the Park on September 9.
