TRIBUTE act T.Rextasy celebrate their own silver anniversary with the Marc Bolan 40th Commemorative Anniversary Tour, visiting the Grand Opera House, York, on January 22.

T.Rextasy have been performing all over the world for 25 years, a career that ironically out-lives Bolan's very own T.Rex. In 2017, they take to the road once more to transport audiences back to the glam not glum days of the 1970s.

Fronting his band T.Rex and later going solo, Marc Bolan was one of the most flamboyant and charismatic stars of the original glam rock era with his rock-a-boogie songs such as Ride A White Swan, Children of The Revolution, Telegram Sam, Hot Love, Jeepster, Solid Gold Easy Action, 20th Century Boy, Bang A Gong (Get It On), Metal Guru and I Love To Boogie.

T.Rextasy are the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan’s family, estate, original former members of T.Rex and Bolan’s catalogue management.

In the line-up are Danielz, vocals and lead guitar, Neil Cross, rhythm guitar, backing vocals, Rob Butterfield, bass guitar and backing vocals, and John Skelton, drums, whowill showcase all of the hits and more, with both electric and acoustic performances, faithfully recreating the energy and chutzpah of Marc Bolan and T.Rex.

Tickets for the 7.30pm show are on sale on 0844 871 3024 or at atgtickets.com/york
