PIXIES officially welcome bass player Paz Lenchantin to the re-formed Boston band on their September 30 album, Head Carrier.

Lenchantin has been touring with Black Francis, Joey Santiago, and David Lovering since January 2014 and has played an integral part in the recording of Pixies' sophomore post-reunion record. Her cool and dreamy soprano can be heard singing lead on the track All I Think About Now.

Set for release on Pixies Music/PIAS, Head Carrier is a 12-track amalgam of surrealism, psychedelia, dissonance and surf rock, produced by Royal Blood producer Tom Dalgety and recorded at London's Rak Studios from mid-February through to mid-March this year.

The album will feature original artwork by Pixies' long-time art director, Vaughan Oliver, and will be issued in various formats. Anyone placing a pre-order at Pixiesmusic.com will unlock a download of first single Um Chagga Lagga.

A limited-edition deluxe box set will be available exclusively through Pixiesmusic.com, comprising the CD, a heavyweight/180 grams black vinyl version and a 24-page, oversized booklet with the lyrics and Oliver's artwork. The website is selling a special bundle too that includes the deluxe box set, a T-shirt and a 12" by 12" record sleeve-sized poster.

To support Head Carrier, Pixies will launch the first leg of their 2016 - 2017 global tour with a European run that takes in Leeds O2 Academy on November 30.
