SCOUTING For Girls will be the Saturday act during York Racecourse’s Music Showcase Weekend this summer.
The band is due to perform on July 25, having previously performed at the races in 2011 to a crowd of more than 40,000.
Lead singer Roy Stride said: “We’ve got lots of great memories of York Races and we’re really looking forward to putting on a show.”
A racecourse spokesman said the pop-rock band will be performing well-known hits such as She’s So Lovely, Heartbeat, and This Ain’t A Love Song, providing a fun and lively ending to the racecourse’s Music Showcase Weekend.
As previously announced, legendary singer Sir Tom Jones will performing on Knavesmire to round off the day’s racing on the previous evening.
