NAMED after a town in the Outer Hebrides, Oxford alternative indie band Stornoway return to Pocklington Arts Centre on Tuesday night.

Brian Briggs's band released their triumphant debut, Beachcomber’s Windowsill, in 2010, going on to win XFM’s Album of the Year, and their sophomore outing, Tales From Terra Firma, arrived in 2013, backed up later in the year by a six-track mini-album of material from the same recording sessions, You Don't Know Anything.

Stornoway have been working on their third full-length album with an eye to releasing it next April. Hopefully, the first fruits of these new labours can be heard at Tuesday's 8pm show.

Tickets remain available at pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk and on 01759 301547
