Still fresh from the success of their spring tour earlier this year, UB40 are on the road again.

The popular reggae group's most recent album, a top 30 released last year called Getting Over the Storm, enjoyed 5-star reviews from the UK's music press.

The night began with a playlist of well-known reggae classics, including the likes of Musical Youth and Junior Murvin, which helped set the mood for the main act.

UB40 themselves took to the stage amid a fantastic cacophony of brass and drums, before settling into a slow, relaxed pace.

The band promised lots of old tunes, some of which, guitarist Robin Campbell joked, not even the audience would remember. Nevertheless, the audience were happily clapping along and dancing to the smooth, rhythmic reggae.

The band also played music from their newer material, adding some extra variety to the proceedings, before indulging in a few more golden oldies to close out the night, finishing on the much demanded and much beloved hit Red Red Wine.

They then returned for an encore, ending the night with their own rendition of Can't Help Falling in Love.

After more than 30 years of music, UB40 are still one of the best bands in the business when it comes to reggae.
