YORK glam punk rock singer and former U.K. Subs star Stevie ZeSuicide will be heading east to Japan in the New Year to promote his first official album, Dancing With Spiders.

"I'll be making promotional appearances at record stores in and around Tokyo during the ten-day trip, which will start on January 17," says Stevie.

"I'll be performing a short acoustic set in each store, as well as giving interviews on several of the music stations over there. It's okay, I'll be accompanied by a Japanese interpreter as well as my management team."

Stevie is thrilled to be bound for Japan, where interest in the album has been sparked by its connection with David Bowie. "I recorded it with Bowie's legendary bassist from his Spiders From Mars days, the late Trevor Bolder, who also produced it at his East Yorkshire studios," he says.

"The people of Japan spend more money per head on music than any other country in the world, but it's not about money but the people of York sending some music to the people of Japan."

Dancing With Spiders is released through Little London Records in association with State 51 Music Company USA, TaM Management and Music Maker magazine and is available on iTunes, Napster, Amazon and hmvdigital.com. You can also buy it on York market, on Parliament Street, on the CD stall on Saturdays and Sundays for a special price of £5, including a full-colour booklet.
