10CC’s Graham Gouldman presents his Heat Full Of Songs show at Pocklington Arts Centre on May 13.

A month later, he is to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on June 12

Inspired by The Beatles, Gouldman began playing guitar at the age of 11 and started working with bands at 15. He penned such hits as For Your Love for The Yardbirds and No Milk Today for Herman’s before forming 10CC with Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley and Lol Crème in 1972 and co-writing the likes of Rubber Bullets, I’m Not In Love, and Things We Do For Love.

In recent years, Gouldman has opened 10CC’s shows with an acoustic set of the songs he wrote for others, performed with fellow 10CC band members. Now this has evolved into Heart Full Of Songs with its combination of 10CC numbers and songs from his back catalogue.

Tickets for the 8pm concert cost £23 on 01759 301547 or at pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk
