PROCEEDS from a special screening of David Lean’s Lawrence Of Arabia on Sunday, March 20 at the Reel Cinema, Blossom Street, York, will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).
Co-organiser Mike Gwilliam says: “The cinema is generously letting us have the facilities for free and all the money raised will go towards assisting MAP’s Emergency Burns Appeal.
“We’ve been planning the event for a while, but the timing does seem especially apt, given recent events in the Arab world and Lawrence’s passion for the cause of Arab freedom and independence.”
