There will be a special preview screening of Ken Loach’s Looking For Eric (15) at City Screen, York, on Thursday, June 4 at 8pm.
The evening will conclude with a satellite question-and-answer session with the English film-maker and the French footballer, faux philosopher and inscrutable screen actor.
Loach’s magical socio-realist work depicts a football fanatic postman on the verge of a nervous breakdown, whose salvation comes in the guise of a very special life coach: his hero, Manchester United legend Cantona.
