TOM Wanless and David Humphries are the artists of the month at the Blake Gallery, Blake Street, York, until next Saturday.
Tom, who has lived in Wetherby for 35 years, is exhibiting landscapes, seascapes and still life works in oil.
"I tend to go for the landscape rather than the place, getting a sense of light and then pursuing that, " says Tom. "So in this show, there are landscapes of Dungeness, Scarborough harbour and Coquet Island in Northumberland - I do an assortment of landscapes, not only in Yorkshire."
David lives and paints full time in East Yorkshire, working in mixed media, oil, watercolour, acrylic ink and collage to create what he calls textural impressionism. His subject matter is drawn from landscapes, seascapes and "lightscapes".
The gallery is open from 10am to 5pm daily, except Tuesdays and Sundays.
