Fiona Draper, manager of the York Quilt Museum, shows off a doll’s crib with a miniature Log Cabin patchwork quilt, alongside a bed covered in a Jubilee Quilt and, in the background, a Log Cabin design chair and bean bag by Ann Bibby.

The items are featured in two new exhibitions at the museum.

In the Great Hall, Cabin Fever highlights the popular Log Cabin block design, while in the Bailey Gallery there is work by Anglia Textile Works, a small group of nine contemporary textile artists based in East Anglia.

The group began their collaboration in 1997 to provide a stimulating environment in which to develop artistically, experiment with new ideas and techniques and find a wider audience.

The exhibitions will run until May 10 at the museum, which is located in Peasholme Green and is open from Monday to Saturday, between 10am and 4pm.
