YORK artist, tutor and gallery owner Andres Jaroslavsky is to run life-drawing sessions at Low Moor Community Centre, Bray Road, Fulford, from 7pm to 9pm every Wednesday from August 14.

“Relaxed and fun, the classes cost £10 and are suitable for all abilities, including beginners,” says Argentinean-born Andres, left. “All the materials are included and teas and coffees are free too.”

The sessions will be structured in two parts, both utilising a life-drawing model. “During the first half, there’ll be three short exercises with tuition and samples projected on a screen,” says Andres. “After the tea break, there’ll be a long pose by the model for everyone to apply whatever they learnt during the first half.”

Andres runs the Corner Gallery in Scarcroft Road, where he has been holding six-week From A Drawing To A Painting art courses on Saturdays this summer.

Meanwhile, he has just received confirmation of his place on the Master of Arts degree in Creative Practice at Leeds College of Art, which he will start in the second week of September.
