THE 2017 Great Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year final will be held in The White Rose Rotunda, Parliament Street, York, tonight at 8.30pm.

Taking part will be three acts from Hull, Tom King, Jack Gleadow and Gina Jenkinson, who performs under the name Kelli Taylor; Mike Carter, from Liverpool; Edy Hurst, who lives in Manchester but is originally from Yorkshire; Anth Young, from Newcastle; and James Harkness, from Manchester, who uses the stage name Dougie.

Hurst presented his debut solo work, Theme Show!, in the festival's Shed tent on July 22, when he "brought your dreams to life by gathering all the magic and wonder of a theme park into a comedy show".
