ROSS Noble, the random-thinking comic, has set his next York appearance in concrete.

The North Easterner will present his new show, Brain Dump, at York Barbican on Tuesday, September 27 next year. "As usual, I have lots of stuff backing up in my head and it's time to let it all out," says Noble, who is noted for his spontaneous, freewheeling style and surrealist flights of fancy.

Noble started in comedy 25 years, ago at the age of 15, and cut his teeth as the compere at the late Mike Bennett's Comedy Shack at The Bonding Warehouse in York.

He last played York Barbican in October 2014, when he presented Ross Noble: Tangentleman over two nights. He will kick off the Australian leg of his Brain Dump travels in his adopted home country from next February to late April before Britain beckons.

Tickets for York go on sale at £27.50 at 10am on Thursday on 0844 854 2757or at yorkbarbican.co.uk
