THE Treasurer’s House in York will once again be seeking a variety of skills and talents for both voluntary and paid work opportunities this year.
Lisa Holden, visitor services manager, said: “We will be looking for more volunteers and paid roles to support across all areas of the house. You don’t need to be a history buff to help out.
“As well as the key role of room guides, who help bring the house to life by telling the fascinating stories of the house face to face, we are also looking for volunteers to support with our social media, website and photography. This allows us to capture our history here in increasingly diverse ways for our visitors to enjoy.”
The recruitment open days will be held at Treasurer’s House tomorrow and Saturday, from 11.30am to 2pm.
Training is provided and a regular social calendar provides opportunities for getting involved in a variety of things and meeting others. Paid work includes jobs in catering, guiding, sales, visitor services, weddings and events.
For those unable to attend the open day, phone 01904 624247 or email treasurershouse@nationaltrust.org.uk for more information or to get an application form.
