RUNNERS who missed out on a place in the Yorkshire Marathon can still take part if they raise funds for Diabetes UK.

The charity which works to care for and campaign on behalf of people affected by diabetes has 20 places available for the event on Sunday, October 12.

Runners pay £40 for their place and then have to raise at least £400 for Diabetes UK, which will provide running tops for the event and lots of support with fundraising.
