YORK’S Green Party has released two more videos outlining their future vision for the city ahead of the local elections.
The films, entitled ‘Education – More Than A Commodity’ and ‘Protecting York’s Future’, are available to view on the party’s website, york.greenparty.org.uk, and on YouTube, with their release following the Greens’ original video, ‘The Green Alternative To The Cuts’.
The third and final film focuses on issues such as 20mph speed limits, affordable housing and bringing empty properties back into use, and also outlines the party’s support for the New City Beautiful report, produced by urban design expert Professor Alan Simpson, which sets out ways in which the future of York could be shaped. It is narrated by Clifton candidate Ginnie Shaw.
“We want to look to the future and have a vision for York which will protect the city,” said Dave Taylor, who is standing for the Greens in the Fishergate ward at tomorrow’s City of York Council elections.
