I CAN add one name to John Hind's comprehensive list of artists who appeared at York Rialto (Absolute bedlam, Readers' Letters, July 21). It is Roy Orbison and he was the best live act I have ever seen.
He was so good that The Beatles, who had just hit the big time and had been moved to top of the bill, could not get on stage because the audience was shouting for encores of Running Scared.
