No master race

PHILIP Roe (Crass statement, Readers' Letters, September 6) writes how crass and insensitive an idea it is to liken the killing of laboratory animals to the Nazi holocaust.

But wait a minute.

Vivisection is performed by scientists who would never dare to perform tests on other humans. Their rationale is that humans are "superior" and "more intelligent" than animals, and so cannot ethically be injected with chemicals or subjected to physical and mental stress tests.

This being so, they are in actual fact labelling themselves the "master race", which sadly makes them no different in mentality from the Nazis.
