AT last the cat is out of the bag.

The release of the salaries paid to a select few presenters at the BBC is truly eye-watering.

This public money from the hard-pressed public is a national disgrace.

But the real disgrace is the misuse of the word talent.

You just have to concentrate on the poor lack of knowledge in the English language with many a “No – yes”, “so”, “basically” etc.

My pet dog could read from an autocue.

And of course there are the howlers from many such as Alex Jones (£400,000) asking one hapless actor what was like working with real dinosaurs.

It’s time to cancel licence fees and let them take their chance on the open market.
