I WOULD like to take this opportunity to offer my deepest thanks to the voters of Hull Road ward for electing me to be their Labour Party representative on City of York Council.
To have had such an overwhelming show of support is incredibly humbling.
I’d like thank those residents who, with patience at yet another caller while they were trying to have tea, made time to come to the door during the campaign.
Hopefully no more elections for a while.
However, I did meet a number of residents during the campaign that raised issues with me and I will be getting in touch with them as soon as I can.
I also plan to join fellow ward councillors Neil Barnes and Hilary Shepherd for regular street surgeries in the future.
All new councillors have a lot to learn.
I’m sure that I’ll make some mistakes along the way, but I’m so proud to be able to work for residents in the ward.
I will do my best to represent them, to advocate for them, and to repay the trust residents have placed in me by working hard for both the ward and for the city.
Cllr Michael Pavlovic (Labour), York
