I HAVE just read the comments regarding the music entertainment in St Sampson’s Centre in York (the over-60s venue).
Whoever this person is should be ashamed. They should praise this place, not criticise.
It is a fabulous place for the older age group, with good food and drinks, lovely staff and a lovely mixture of customers, and various types of entertainment.
The day in question, Thursday, March 16, the Harlequins were singing a mixture of all sorts of songs, with lots of people singing along with them.
They are a great group that entertain for charity and do not charge for their performances. Any donations are for their charity of the day.
There are eight singers and a guitarist and you can see they enjoy what they are doing. We did.
St Sampson’s is a very special place to a lot of people, from York and surrounding areas.
No-one should criticise it. It offers free entry, free entertainment and good food.
