FOR decades, job vacancies have appeared in the press, applicants interviewed and the best person appointed.
However, since political correctness, gender equality, deference to colour and creed, has become the over-riding criteria, most noticeably in the public sector.
How can we be sure the most qualified applicants are being selected?
