WELL done, W Precious (Letters, February 13).
I wondered who would spot the typographical error first. Of course, it should have read 46 million, actually 46,500,001 to be correct.
I am pleased they are getting into the spirit of things and “spouting numbers” themselves - 17.4 million.
So let’s have more amusement for our reader. Remain 16.1, total votes equated to 72.21 per cent of the total electorate.
I also thank them for putting Bloomberg, NBC and Wikipedia in their places with a profound formula of granny’s age etc. I wondered where the ridiculous concocted figures came from.
Also the polar bears will now rest easy that it’s a myth their habitat is shrinking each and every year.
I, however, disagree with the final statement, “people couldn’t be fussed to vote”.
In truth, nobody had a clue then and now of the outcome of leaving.
Both camps spread lies, gloom and doom, which, thoroughly sickened by this political chicanery, caused 27.79 per cent of voters to be totally fed up of the whole charade.
